Volkio VD-40 Multi Function

VOLKIO VD-40 will dissolve dirt and grime in your gun but won’t remove it. It evaporates rather quickly, leaving the residue behind and gumming up the moving parts. VD-40 should only be considered when a gun has been exposed to extreme amounts of moisture. Even then, it must be removed and replaced with a good gun oil.

FEATURES AND BENEFITS:

GENERAL: Nearly all materials react to WD-40 as they would to high grade aliphatic petroleum spirits with the same exposure, i.e., spray, quick dip or prolonged immersion. WD-40 contains no silicone, PTFE or chlorofluoracarbons.

RUBBER: No visible effects on surface of various types of rubber sprayed with WD-40. Certain types of rubber will swell upon prolonged immersion in VD-40.

HIGH STRENGTH STEELS: (for hydrogen embrittlement) Certified SAFE according to the Lawrence Hydrogen Effusion Test.

FABRICS: The following fabrics were exposed to WD-40 with no effect, expect slight staining which was readily removed with naphtha or dry cleaning solvent: Nylon, Orlon, Wool, Dacron, Cotton.

PAINTED SURFACES: Many types of paint on various surfaces have been exposed to WD-40 with no effect. Wax polishes and certain wax coatings may be softened by WD-40.

PLASTICS:
The following plastics were immersed in VD-40 for 168 hours with no visible effects:
•Polyethylene •Formica •Epoxy

•Delrin •Polypropylene •Acrylic

•Vinyl Teflon •Polyester •Nylon

Operating Instructions

Pour entire contents of this bottle into fuel tank. One bottle treats up to 15 gallons (56.78 Liters) of diesel fuel.

SHELF LIFE : 3 years minimum. Store tightly closed in the original container in a dry area at temperatures between 5 and 40°C. Avoid direct sunlight.

Operating Instructions

Before treating the carburettor, switch off the engine and leave it to cool down completely. In the meantime, remove the air filter from the vehicle. Once the motor is cool, spray the exterior of the carburettor until the contamination disappears completely. Next, spray the visible parts of the carburettor and leave the cleaning solution to take effect. At this point, you can start the engine and let it idle with limited speed. Spray the air inlet with the carburettor cleaner and increase the engine speed. Install the air filter only after the cleaning process is complete and the engine is switched off.
